Charlie, what part do you need to know? We can probably walk you threw it. But every car's installation is just a little bit different and is subjective to how you choose to do it. We get real critical on how we install them and go much further to secure the cable than most. I guess we "could" write one, but it would be how we do it, and it would be long...lol.

I want to do it right, like you described on phone before. Actually the only part I'm unsure is the underwood wiring. How it charges or is rerouted

There are a variety of ways to do it, but its as simple as connecting the charge wire to the wire provided in the kit and routing it to the trunk. We run our wire through the frame and adelle clamp it everywhere else.

I ran mine through the interior behind the plastic and under the doorsill cover and out a gromet near the fuse box.

Check out Dimora's thread. I am pretty much going to do this exactly to the T. I am buying all of the exact parts he used except i am going with the Taylor 48104 1/0 gauge wiring kit, he used a 2 gauge kit.

Joe made them in small quantities as I know. There is a company that is planning to reproduce them as I'm told.

I've got one of the chicane or replica battery relocation set ups. I've been delaying doing the relocation but I really need to get on it.

I know Jason...... just do it ;)

It's the one Jason is talking about. I wasn't sure if it was a Chicane or replica. Hmm guess it's the real thing.

It was real I know that, it had Chicane cnc'd into it and it's was way overkill engineered, like many awesome things Joe did. I think it was in the $400's.

Oren, it's only money...lol. Besides it is your electrical system and lots of potential risk for damage there. Maybe we could do a tech install guide and give you a substancial discount....hmm the ideas.

They are Optima 6V batteries, so they can be found quite easily.

I'm with Jason on the Moroso kit. That's what I used and had no issues with the install. That kit is just about as close to a plug and play deal as you can make relocating your battery.

I thought i'd share this link with you.

I've gotten some really good stuff ( terminal lugs, inuslator caps, etc.) from them for many of my race cars.

Glad I got my Chicane relo done by Joe, just about fainted when he told me how much to install but it's tricked out. What's up w/ the guy who swooped all the estate items. Does he have any extra kits?

Thanks for sharing the pic. That's what mine looks like except mine did not come anodized or have the Chicane sticker.

Cane you post pics of the underside with the optima batteries & wiring. I'd like to see how they wired it compare it to my plans.

Now I like that A LOT! So it takes 2 6Vs in series. Looks like something that needs to go back into production to me. I wanted to put my battery there but the 12V wouldn't fit right, it didn't occur to me to run like that. Doh!

It is an outside of the box idea. (pun intended)
