Question Q: Tonneau cover - Fit in the Trunk?

Not a deal breaker on whether or not I get a Convertible vs a hardtop - but I was wondering if the Tonneau cover would fit in the trunk?

I'm trying to think of a worse case scenario in that I'm driving on the Highway and out of no where it starts to pour down rain - would I be able to put the Tonneau cover in the trunk once I raised the Convertible Top?

Really appreciate everyone's help

Default Tonneau trunk

Unfortunately, the tonneau cover as offered by Saleen does not fit in the trunk of the car. There are other aftermarket 2-piece tonneau covers out there but they look like...not very good. I have yet to see someone, band saw one in half and use brackets, which to me would be cool, but the seat belt attachment would have to be "re-imagined." ha. Anyhow, no it doesn't fit.

But there is an emergency option. See link to video below.

Good Luck. Post pics :)

You will have a dry car, but a wet passenger that you have to leave behind. Not to mention the scratches and scuffs to the interior and tonneau by smashing it in the car.

You learn to plan very carefully, only bring it, if you know FOR sure no rain. Have taken one to Carlisle, and each evening go to the car with the truck, to put tonneau in the bed of the truck, kinda a pain.

From watching that video - definitely doesn't look feasible to "quickly" do in the rain
