Thats a good article. I have that magazine issue too. Ive saved any article I could find on S351's from when they came out to the last 99s. I should round them all up and scan the articles like you did.

Good article,I really enjoy these old articles mostly because when they were published I didn't have a Saleen yet and didn't get a chance to read them. But I do now so keep them coming!

They are neat articles because what Saleen planned on putting in there, what they advertised and wrote about are way off what Steve Saleen actually delivered the cars with. They were sooooooooooo different and well, it is what it is. On the postive side, at least they were built. The rest could be and were fixed by owners over time, but unfortunately those costs fell on the owners.

When you go back in there and do it right, spend the coin to make sure it is right, they are deadly, afterwards. Absolutely deadly!

Default Saleen S351 Articles

I think we would all appreciate the effort and really enjoy reading about the S351 history.

I had forgotten about this thread! Let me do some digging and see what I can post up. The Motor Trend issue where they test the 99 S351 and SC281 is available online in multiple places so I wont post that one. I have 3 Muscle Mustang and Fast Ford mags where they drove diff S351s. One issue is the N/A S351 in 96. Another is the 98 S351 and the third is a test of the 99 S281, S281SC, and S351, my fav of course lol. I also have a test of the 2000 model S281 and S281SC that was in 5.0 Super Fords. I'll dig them out of my library and put my scanning skills to the test
