Default Washable Air filter replacement? - Manufacture???

I realize this is a washable unit, but, is this a K&N filter and if so what is the K&N part number, as I would like to keep a spare that is ready to go.
TIA

Hi there! Looking in my parts stash... I supposedly have a Saleen air box from a 2006 S281 S/C. After pulling the lid, I found a K&N filter with the part # 33-2298.

Word has it Saleen Inc could of had filters supplied by Green Filter Inc of Mt Braddock, Pennsylvania during the 2005-09 era.

Feel free to take & post a photo of your filter.

If your filter has SALEEN molded in the side of it, it is a K&N. If it does not, then it is a Green. You can easily find replacements for that by either company, it is just the Mustang GT filter that both companies offer. Or you can purchase directly through Saleen.

Thank you
Jess

On a similar note, can someone tell me what to replace my Ultimate Intake conical filter with?

Great question Eric! Jess should be able to help. If not, have you spied the filter for a part number? Or manufacture?

Looked at it while I had it apart changing the pulley (to a 3.4 :(...) but did not see a part number on it anywhere.

We can wait for Jess Albright. Feel free to shoot and post a photo of this filter though. Maybe we can match it.

Thanks Jess....All
Mine has no "Saleen" imprint so I'm assuming "Green".
Did check out the K&N part # for Tang GT and noticed it's not as "thick" (@1/2" versus 1") Think I'll go to Saleen and order, and since this is a weekday, I'll clean the original so it's ready for the weekend, cause it's dirty and at 50K

If you guys are referring to the conical filter that is in our Extreme cold air intake kit, then I don't have that filter separate right now. I am working on it, but the company that makes it, produces it exclusively for the company that makes our extreme MAS. Best thing to do for now is clean it, I will have replacements soon.

Thank you
Jess

That is for a 99-04 air kit. The one for the 05-09 extreme cold air intake would have 3 studs sticking out the bottom that allow it to get bolted to the mass air housing and the filter housing.

Thank you
Jess

Good to know, Jess!

The attachment method sounds similar to the K&N filters used in the old 77mm Pro-M kits.
