SMS-Bondurant Camaro to be Auctioned for Charity at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale

The first SMS 620 Camaro featuring a 6.2 Liter V8 engine with over 620hp and 525ft/lb of torque will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. All proceeds to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Arizona and Cox Charities, and it will be sold at approximately 8pm Thursday January 19, 2012.

The Steve Saleen and Bob Bondurant 620 Camaro will utilize a 6.2 Liter V8 engine featuring over 620hp and 525ft/lb of torque and is the first in a new series that will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on January 19. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Cox Charities and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona. Cox Charities has awarded more than $3.4 million in grants to local non-profits focused on youth, education and technology. Funds are raised through Cox employee contributions, customer donations, and community partnerships with organizations like Barrett-Jackson. Every dollar raised goes directly back into the community.

Just got a call from Steve Saleen of SMS Supercars, and just last night they
shipped the first of his latest of his signature American muscle car designs: the SMS 620
Camaro. *

SMS 620 Camaro serial number 001 will be auctioned for charity on Thursday
evening in conjunction with old racing pal Bob Bondurant and the Bondurant
School of High Performance Driving.

The auction is sure to jump extra high thanks to the inclusion of a Mothers
Detail Bag supplied with California Gold product and sitting in the back seat of
the Camaro! :)

Steve Saleen¹s signature performance vehicles are also available on Dodge
and Ford platforms: the SMS 570 and 570X Challenger and the SMS 302 Mustang.

The Mothers wheel cleaner commercial featuring HRE Wheels, SMS Supercars and
Pirelli Tire will be airing during the SPEED Channel broadcast of the
auction.

Both the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and SMS Supercars are
marketing partners of Mothers.

I work as a controller for a golf resort where the Bondurant school is located. Bob Bondurant comes in for lunch 3-4 times a week. I saw Steve Saleen in the restaurant a few months ago and wondered what was going on.

Bondurant's wife told me that Bob and Steve were collaborating on something together and this is apparently was it was.
