Question Need help - Best Coil Packs for S331SC

Hi SOEC Forum,

I want to replace the ignition coils in my 2007 S331SC. Any suggestions regarding the best type would be greatly appreciated. I live in Australia so will need to import from the USA as performance / oem parts are scarce here due to the fact that the 3 valve 5.4l engine was never included in the local line up. Part numbers and names of reputable dealers would also be very helpful.

Accell makes a replacement that are very similar in shape/size as the original just yellow in color. There is also a company named Weapon X that makes a brand that they claim is a real coil over plug design and several other HP increase features that have been debated. I don't think a lot of people change them because the original Ford ones seem to work just fine.

I asked 2 different performance shops about replacing the coils on my 99, both said go with the OEM Ford units - less problems and failures than the aftermarket ones...

Without question, the Ford OEM coil packs are the best solution beside GM smart coils...whole other conversation. But the "aftermarket" ones are ALL just hype and fail prematurely. Factory coil packs should last you approx 100k+ miles.

If you cant source them locally, we can get them and send them to you USPS to save you a ton on shipping.
