Default 88 with "General Tire" stripe kit

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a Fox body with the stripe theme that came on the General Tire cars but that wasn't yellow/white? This car is red/black.

No.

The basic layout was copied from time-to-time by Mustang owners. In the early 1990s, someone local created a General Tire inspired repaint using a 1984 GT convertible that was Dark Canyon Red / tan interior / tan roof.

This car is 88-0116 and the last 6 are 257688. I called Saleen but I haven’t heard back and when I tried to email them, it kicked back. Can anyone help me with that info?

Oh, that's not good. Is the book absolutely correct? and if so, does that mean that the car is a fake? Is there a series number close to that with that VIN? I haven't seen the car in person yet and the owner is not an expert so I'm trying to help him along. TIA

Reaching out to Saleen is your best bet. The car shows shipped to NY when new.

VIN number confirmed on the dash and door. Has every Saleen part you can think of including 88-0116 badge and bumper sticker. Waiting for a call back from saleen. Is there any way someone can see if the VIN I gave belongs to another number car?
