Default Supercharger bearing needs to be replaced

Hi all

i was told at my last service that it sounds like the Supercharger bearing is no good and needs to be replaced.

if it does is there anything i should get upgraded when this is been done.

im not after more power , but more reliability as last service the idler pulley had to be replaced.

as i live outside of America , jobs like this take 1 to 2 weeks or more ( waiting for parts and then labour )

so if im going to be without my car again for a long period to get a simple part replaced what else should i plan for them to do at the same time.

e.g is there a complete pulley kit to improve on what came with the car ?

Who told you that there is an issue? I know my supercharger sounds pretty loud and kind of makes a clattering noise but I have been told that it's fine and that our superchargers are just loud.

How many miles are on your car? Do you have the blue sealant on your Supercharger nose drive assembly flange? See this thread: http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthr...7587#post67587 Give me a call if you need some additional help. I can arrange a time that works for both of us with the time change.

Hi

The Saleen supercharger is a lot noisier than the current GT Falcon.
How many miles on car?
We have 3 Saleen supercharged cars including my '06 race car, I actually like the sound of them.
If you have any worries or questions call me on 0429 390 289

Tony

Default Supercharger bearing

Hi Tony

the car has 22000 kms on the clock

im not too concerned as the car is running just fine

i think its because the Ford dealer i take it to has never worked on one before so it is all new to them

i am thinking next time it is due for servie to take it down to Mustang Australia in Sydney where we got it from and and have them service it and have a good look over the car just for peace of mind

apart from that it is a BEAST of a car compared to the GTP we had before it, absolutely love it

i have read several of your threads

would be good to catch up one day

regards

Paul
