Default Originality & Subframe Opinions?

So I have this dilemma. I feel guilty doing anything to the cobra that is permanent but at the same time I feel it would greatly benefit from a set of MM or similar weld in subframe connectors.

So what are everyones opinions on this?

Im just trying to not bastardize the car but think that a few additional suspension mods would be beneficial.

I do not have an issue with properly installed and finished connectors.

If you get into MCA car shows and whatnot, these will cause a point deduction if spotted.

1. It is your car, do what you want to it.
2. Don't do it if you are worried about points in a car show.
3. Don't do it if you think that the value will drop because you modded it.
4. Do it if you want to improve the car that you drive.
5. Do it because the car was poorly designed for what you want to use it for.
6. Do it because it is your car.
7. Don't do if you plan on selling it on Barret Jackson or Mecum Auto Auction.

This is just my two cents because by time any of these cars will be worth any LARGE amount of money it will be to late to enjoy it.

I autox my '02 saleen . So I added a strut tower brace { probably would not do it again } and sub frame connectors are being welded in today.
I am going to ad some rear control arms and some brake upgrades.
I really like racing my car and would not have done any of this to my car if it was going to be a show car only or wanted to keep it original.
To each his own . I say make it how you want it , as long as you have good taste !
So I agree with code red.

I first wanted to keep my 1998 stock. It was nice to have a dream. :+)

I say do it, the gains are ten fold, and it will do nothing to the value.

When I decide to start driving the car again I'll definately be looking at some subframes. Right now the car has 30,700 miles

did sub frames and strut tower brace at the same time.
There is a noticeable difference as far as stiffness and steering wheel feel.
I have some autox's coming up and will be able to tell the difference as far as time goes. They set up the same course everytime.
