Default Help: Painting license plate panel

I hate the satin black finish on the rear of the SMS and was going to have that area painted gray to match the rear difusser or possible painted it black and clear it. What is everyone thoughts?

My first thought would be painting it to match the diffuser, but I saw a 2013 with the cleared black and it looked nice as well.

Default 3M gloss black vinyl

use 3M gloss black vinyl, but looks like its painted. if you ever sell, you can remove it and have back to OEM! it's. DIY too. you can order it here:

I used this on my window pillars

it's so easy to install especially on smooth flat surfaces.
