San Antonio/Boerne, TX SALEEN EVENT - Weekend Gathering/Cruise/Car Show - Oct 23-25
Reposting this for all TEXAS SALEEN OWNERS:
There is going to be an awesome car show Sunday, October 25th in San Antonio. I know I'm starting this early, but I really want everyone to come. So hold the date on your calendars. Here is the info I have so far. I will email any changes. Friday 23rd: If anybody wants to, they can come to San Antonio/Boerne House to make a weekend trip out of it. The Boerne House is my folks' house. They are very excited to have us there. Saturday 24th: Wake up and go for a rock'in hill country cruise (Route TBA,any input appreciated) then back to the Boerne House to detail the cars for the show. Cook out at the Boerne House, cocktails, watch the amazing sunsets. Sunday: Showtime and then head for home. I know this might be hard for some folks to pull off being a Sunday show, but they can have a free place to stay for the weekend at my folks house a.k.a The Boerne House. We can sleep 14 people in beds there. If any spouses come there are two bedrooms with king size beds, so those will go on a first commit, first serve basis. The rest of us will have to shack up in the bunk room. If we have more than 14 (which would be awesome) we can do sleeping bags and air matresses, or there is a great hotel in Tapatio Springs (where the Boerne House is) that is super safe for cars, and my folks know the owner and we get great rates. www.tapatio.com. Hopefully you guys can do some or all of it. If some of you want to stay Sunday night as well that is great, I will be there for the whole weekend. There is also plenty of room for trailers of any size at my folks if some of you would rather trailer your cars, or bring more than one car. Go to www.samustang.com to register. It's under the "2009 car show" link. The show officials said we could put up banners, flyers ect. on our "Saleen Alley" where we will park together. They will also let me know if any other Saleens register for the show so we can invite them to join in our "Saleen Weekend" activities. This show is supposed to be pretty big, last year they had 200 cars and turned away 100 because of space. The space issues have been solved for this year and they are not going to turn any away. I personally think there will be 300+. These are just my initial thoughts, any and everything is up for discussion/change. Please call or email any questions.  I just registered my Saleen for the Car show and will be at the Boerne event for the weekend!! Most updated count , we have about 8 cars attending - Any Saleen's in Texas - we would love for you guys to join us !!!

Just found out that a Saleen S331 Truck has agreed and registered with us for the event - so we should be up to about 11 cars - Hopefully all other TEXAS Saleen owners in the area can make it and we can have a great turnout !!!

Would love to make it down from Oklahoma but just dont think its going to happen this year.. Barricade i would love to see a full shot of your car. i have done mine up as Barricade also..

Man I would love to go but there is a Dallas home game that day (havent missed one in 4 years) that I must attend. Man I wish it was during a away game, I would have loved a cruise to San Antonio!!!

If you do a
 , you'll get the advanced menu where you can scroll down to "Manage Attachements" -- which is how you can upload them from your computer. You can also do a Quick Reply and click the "Go Advanced" button to If they're too big for Manage Attachments, you'll have to re-size them -- you can email them to me jimd@soec.org and I'll gladly size them and/or post them.

I am planning to be there for at least the show. I will probably use the 331 to trailer one of the other cars. Just have to figure out which would be best to bring.

Well some one with CHANGE in there pockets decided it was time for me to part ways with my amp and subs. Im not really mad at that. I dont really drive my car its driven only on weekends, when i woke up on monday to the maint guy beating down my door. I answered and he said in need to check my car. Already trying to remember what was in the car I walk out and see the trunk open. I was fine with that, they just put a flat head screw driver in the door lock and hit it with a hammer forced the lock and opened the door. And opened the glove box and pushed the trunk button and popped the trunk and took his time unscrewing the amp wires and left. There was nothing else missing. The whole door lock thing is where I got mad. Why did they not break the window? AHHHHHH! And to my suprise my Saleen XP8 was right next to it and it was not touched.

I dont know whos car that is.
Its not just the wing...wrong wheels, antenna, no diffusers, wrong barlight & clamped, badging is skewed to save S281 badging, no push bumper....etc? But it looks good!! Dont get me wrong. Mine was made to be a replica of the original.... Its not perfect but **** close!!! lol

No I noticed some diffrences but thought maybe it was before it was complete..after all I just saw a pic with the push bumper today. I guess that guy must also be a cop? hmmm??

I'd say bring the 351, Adam. I know you brought it to the MOCA meet but it is such a beautiful and rare ride. Should be plenty of Foxes and S281s but I wouldn't be surprised if it would be the only 351.
When are you and the family heading down there? I read "somewhere else" that you would only be joining us for part of the activities...

That is my car at the Shelby show this year and yes i still need to do the wheels and a pushbar.. Iwanted to keep mine as original as i could but still do Barricade as well..

Hopefully Sat night and Sun, right Steve????? Couple of new things: 1st Cost: Bring about 30 bucks. 20 for the cookout/food supplies, and 10 for the "cleaning" fee. I talked to my folks, and they are going to ask their cleaning lady to come an extra day to wash all our sheets, towels, ect that we use. I thought it would be a good thing if we cover this. The cleaning lady charges 100.00 to come to the house so that is about 7-10 a person or so. My folks have not asked that we do this, but I thought is would be a good thing to do. 2nd Other cost: This one is up to you. Fredricksberg will cost as much as you want to spend. It is a food and wine festival so your guess is as good as mine as to how much stuff will cost there. Gas: it's going to be VERY EXPENSIVE, cause all you suckas will be trying to catch me.... Giddy up!!!!!!!!!!!! Other than that, not sure what to expect. 3rd: Bring any SALEEN signs, banners, ect that you may have. I want to make our Saleen Alley look as good as possible. 4th: I will be taking a half day off work on friday so feel free to come to SA anytime after noon. Last: I've got a list of guys that signed up for the show and registered as Saleens, but are not in SCOA. I'm going to try to contact them to see if they want to join in our fun for the weekend. Maybe they will even join SCOA. Thats it. Get fired up. Chad

Hey Guys - it's Chris from Austin. I need to know when and where all you Saleen's from Dallas and Houston are going to head to Bourne on Friday - so I get in on the cruise to Bourne? What is the route you will be going or will you be going through Austin on I35 ? Let me know so I can make some plans with the B-sitters !! Don't want to have to spring anything on them at the last minute. Looking forward to seeing all you guys this weekend !!
