Default New Red Flag Owner - Have questions?

Hi Fellow forum members.

I just purchased a 2008 Red Flag Saleen about a month ago & was wondering what gears did the Red Flag version come with?

Searched the forum and am I right in guessing the 2008 is making about 365 Rear wheel horse power?

Is the supercharger the same used on the Extreme?

Thanks TJ

More than likely 3.55

Different Pulley and tune than an E Car

Window sticker should tell you which gears you have...

Welcome to the Saleen Forums!

There's a link toward the top of the page that will take you to our Literature page, and you can see the various specs on the car as it was marketed, but as Nightstalker indicated, your window sticker would have it as well.

If you don't have the original, you can order a replacement window sticker by calling 800-888-8945 option 2. You can also order a letter of authenticity, which is also good to have for posterity.

Again, welcome!

Thanks for the replies.
The previous owner did not keep the window sticker.

Is it worth the money to do the JDM Tune?

Welcome to The Saleen Forums @ SOEC.org. What color Red Flag did you buy TJ? It's a great package car. Enjoy!

There are several different options you can go with. There is still a lot of power to be had out of your beast. I had the 550 kit from the Speedlab when I had my stock 4.6, I added some headers & some other mods & I was @ 475rwhp. JDM also does great things with these cars...
...Take Jim D's advice and order the replacement window sticker. It contains every option your car was born w/ and will be a valuable resource later on. You won't regret it!

Enjoy your new toy!!

Default RF gears

just had Joe Chicane swap out the stock gears on my stick RF. Turns out they were 3:31's not 3:55's. Maybe the autos had the 3"55's?
-WOW, nice to be in the 3:73's finally. What a difference!

Part of me thought the pool GTs that Saleen used were suppose to have the optional 3.55:1 gears from Ford Motor Company. Maybe you have an incorrect build or a non-pool chassis S281.

Don't know, but two ideas.
