Default New 2011 Owner in California

I have just managed to buy a 2011 Saleen Convertible with 3K miles on it and expect delivery next Wednesday. Do any of you guys know where I can buy a nice outdoor light cover for my car? I know the regular mustand covers might be tight due to the rear...,

Thank you. I will get pics when she arrives next week and share. One little downer is the car had a bad scratch on the Carbon Fiber Hood and I will need to figure a way to fix it.

Hi! Welcome to THE Saleen Forums @ SOEC.org and congratulation on your new purchase.

I have always enjoyed the the covers offered & produced by California Car Cover Company. --> calcarcover.com

They have a wide selection of materials and I have easily replaced my abused covers under their warranty.

Call their Customer Service line and give them the details of your vehicle, they may be able to produce something for you that will fit perfectly.

Now you need a SOEC window decal.

Did you purchase the black 2011 convertible that was listed as a employee vehicle on eBay a few weeks ago? To my knowledge the hoods are composite.

Yes thats the one. Should I be worried? I had the car sent to my choice Ford Dealership for a PPI and I also did and Oasis report on it. I hope the guy was honest. I will know in a few days.

Hi! I know nothing about the vehicle. Sounds like you are going about the process the safe way.

I am curious to know who the employee was that owned the car.

Welcome to the Saleen Forums!

I saw Mark M. tonight and he asked if I knew where to get a custom cover for you, but unfortunately I don't have a contact for covers, but likely California Car Cover may be willing to custom fit a cover for you -- they're in Chatsworth.

They are a very reputable company.

Just make sure you select a fabric suitable for the environment.

Also a possible option is Coverking in Anaheim, but that's a bit further from you.

Out of curiosity, is this an SMS or SPV convertible?

I have 11-025, grabber blue SPV covertible...

EDIT: Never mind, found it on ebay, 11-030... Looks just like mine except
I had them add the painted/carbon fiber rear wing...

Good luck with it! Now we need to find the other approx 50 2011 owners :-)

Let me know if you find a good cover that fits. I'm looking for an indoor cover.
Stage3Motorsports said their 2011 convertible cover 'should' fit, haven't ordered one yet.

Pics posted last week... http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthread.php?t=11568

Car was sitting at Saleen for a while, someone ordered it, then changed to a kona blue coupe. I had them add the rear wing before they shipped it since I had seen the wing on the car Jess Albright brought to PAS in July. Not sure if they offer it as an add on? Maybe PM/ask Jess Albright, he handled everything at SPV for me.

With a Google search... Tom Brady was the president of Revstone. The parent company of Speedlab/SPV. You might like to speak with Jess Albright and see if there was anything special in this vehicle or simply a standard build 2011 that Mr. Brady took possession of.

Yup she is beatiful. It arrived today and as disclosed there is a knarly scratch on the hood. The more I looked at the car I realize the rear left fender has been painted. Whatever!!! I need help with another issue. I got the car smoged today and went to DMV and the guy harrased me since the Saleen Hood is missing the Californis DMV Emmission sticker and would not let me transfer title or register the car. Such a PITA. Any suggestions guys?;

Contact Jess Albright. Phone: 800-888-8945

Also of interest to you, Villa Ford in Orange still has a new 2011 S302 inventoried. You could see if their car has the label you speak of.

Actually the guy in charge of Saleen there is so nice and I almost bought a car there but it was like 50% Saleen. No shocks, No brakes, No nothing but exterior stuff and the rear spoiler was damaged. I am very happy with my car but desperately need to get it registered and pay the **** 10% in TAX!!!!!!
