now now.....I think it could be tweeked. I wish they had SALEEN in the bumper fascia and pulled the plate up between the lights. I really liked that feature.
Then tuck it in with a wing....

But anyways here are some better pix and some detailes:

I will agree with you... Its still does nothing for me. I had that big black piece in the back. I mean, the word Saleen on that is bigger then the banner on the windshield. It still needs a spoiler and maybe with the spoiler, it would take away from the nasty backend.

The only thing I like is the interior. It really looks sharp.

Something that makes me laugh is one of the custom paint colors... Silver Shield custom factory paint LOL Names after Mike Shields is my guess.

Default S281 Unveiling

Although blurred a bit, notice the LED's on the front bumper. Very nice!

Thats Chicane's strut brace, glad to see they used it on the car. That is a solid upgrade.

I want to see this "lights out yellow" color!!

I think the car is a knock out, id love to have one. Maybe ill put my car up for sale...

It's actually a new color called Octane Red, which is from a new PPG formulation that promises to be more fade resistant than Lizstick.

Saleen Inc was using PPG during their last few moments of existence. Octane Red mostly mimics LS... (if not the same formula)... so it's fair to mention both.

To me, the 2010 S281 looks like a red egg, with a bunch of interior S-logos and a JC Whitney styled auxiliary gauge pod. A base 435 S is a better buy. My opinion.

I mostly like the car, but the boost gauge set up is hideous. I wonder if you can opt for the older version? I like the seats too, but I would love that red hash on both sides of the seat and lumbard support for both the driver AND passenger. The lady is less forgiving in the seat arena than I.

I still stand with my comment from the 2010 teaser thread, I like it, they took what looked really bad on the production car and improved it, the front half has me sold. Still out on my feelings about a rear spoiler. This is kind of old school and this car is NOT old school. But I am an old timmer with Saleen so I tend to favor the old look. All in all I think the guys did a GREAT job and I wish them the best of luck with production.

Guys give Jess and the rest of the guys a chance to catch up, they are aware of you awaiting return calls and email. You have not been forgotten.
