5 speed transmission problem - ideas?
So.... I just posted that my belt flew off my car, and now a couple days later, my 5 speed goes spazoid.
I was literally driving around a parking lot with no aggresive driving what-so-ever and all the sudden my shifter doesn't seem to be in gear.. I can shift into second, and it feels really loose, but I can't shift into third, fourth, or fifth, no matter how hard I try. My clutch pedal feels normal, and my car will connect in first in second, but no other gears. From my preliminary research it sounds like it could by a busted up flywheel? I'm getting it towed to a shop tomorrow, but I live in orlando, and as I've seen from a fellow Saleen owner around here, it can be hard to find good service. I just wanted to throw this out there and get some ideas.... Thanks! |

It would not be your flywheel. My initial thought is that your transmission has broken internally. Good news is you can probably find a take-off transmission pretty cheap if thats what it ends up being.
