Default Q: Replacement Saleen Watts-Link differential cover?

Had a problem with the Saleen today. The bolt that holds the watts link pivot to the rear end cover broke off in the cover. Does anyone know if they sell new covers? I think I would prefer a new cover rather than trying to drill and retap this one. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tracy

Up date:
Got a nice hole drilled drilled through the broken bolt in the cover. Think I can get it out if I could get the **** set screw out. I have twisted 2 Allen wrenches even after heating the screw!! It just will not come out!!

Default Watts link

I recently tried to remove the set screw also for the diff bolt. See Watts link bushing failure.... I think you need the Allen hex to be a 1/4" or 3/8 drive type of Allen hex rather than just a plain Allen wrench to get enough torque. Also be sure the Allen hex is the exact correct size.

Note the the Saleen Install instructions for the Watts Link repair Brace shows a photo with a driver with the Alllen hex rather than a plain Alllen wrench.

At one time. There were a few replacement Saleen watts-link covers available.

It does not appear as though the Saleen engineered watts-link is installed on 2013-14 Saleen Mustang models featuring this treatment.

I have had 2 failures #45 & #407 I think the only reason #46 hasn't broke is the car is still new.
Apparently when you replace set screw use a brass tipped one as it doesn't damage bolt thread, Also use a Cap Head bolt they are a lot stronger. Saleen were very heavy handed with Loctite
80x14x2 12.9 for center bolt
55x14x2 10.9 for pivot bolts "make sure you remove 3mm from top bolt.
10x5x.08 for set screws
Because of damage to housing #45 has a steel heli-coil fitted to housing, have now done nearly 50000km no further issues.

Tony, you're right about the Locktite. They must of used a full tube on the shift knob. I put the Barton shifter in we saw in Carlisle and I had a heck of a time getting the knob off the old shifter!! Looks like you guys had a good time at the Nationals.

For the Saleen PJ watts-link recall notice and replacement parts instructions? Or is the "repair" info you seek something different.

The Saleen repair consisted of a new pivot bolt and a subframe/frame rail support bar.
