Default Engine Swap
I just purchased a 1997 S281 from an abandoned vehicle auction. How much does doing an engine swap effect the value? I dropped the oil pan and found most of an oil ring and scrapper ring. Looks like it came from cylinder 8. I'm debating now on rebuilding, or just swapping. Any info would help, Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

The 1996-98 S281 is on the lower end of the Saleen Mustang collector scales. Swapping the original engine for a 1999-04 PI 4.6 should not impact value much, if at all.
