Help: Taking apart the shaker hood scoop
So I finally was able to get some long tube headers installed, Steeda CAI, and the tune( took some time) sorted out. I picked up a shaker hood system(ram air tube, brackets and the base plate. I want to modify the new air tube to direct it to the CAI.
My original shaker appears to be fiberglass, and I can get all the bolts out, but the top scoop seems to be on there pretty good. I don't want to break, just wondering if it just needs a little more muscle or I'm missing a connection point.
I'm also thinking the ford racing manifold, although about 1/2" higher, I can modify the brackets from the new kit. That's a winter project or spring project and I need more measurement to work that out.
Just trying to button up for the last month of decent driving weather here in NY.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.
