Q: Replacement sun visors?

Anyone can give any information on replacing the sun visors in my 2000 saleen s281 convertible? The ones in the car now are discolored from the sun and would like to change them out. Just not sure what all is involved with doing so. Thanks

First you will have to locate a nice pair of replacement visors.

If coupe and convertible visors are the same, best to buy a pair from a coupe.

vert visors

Hey there, yes if you have a vert they are pretty easy to swap out. Verts have vert specific visors. First find a good pair worth the trouble of the swap. Easiest if you have the visor with the brackets that match what came originally.

1. Open vert top.
2. Remove A-Piller interior trim both sides. Use a trim puller to pull the one little push fastener. Pull them evenly with even pressure and they will unclip. Be careful and take your time.
3. Remove the phillips screw holding the square shaped visor attachment things. Then you can remove the center interior trim piece near the rear view mirror. Same thing it unclips use even pressure.
4. Then you can have access to the harness. Unclip the harness.
5. Unscrew the visor brackets. I believe there are 2 or 3 screws there. Don't unscrew the torx screw holding the visor to the bracket. Also have someone hold it up while unscrewing because you can snap the little guide pin that is plastic and you don't want to do that. Also when you install the new ones, same process to avoid snapping that guide pin.
6. Install in reverse order. DO NOT hang the visor by the harness and all these parts are so old you can damage the wire and no more vanity lights.

Hope this helps.
