A lot of viewers but no comments.

I love that the rendering was white with white wheels! Too bad it didn't have enough detail to see specifically what the adds are. I look forward to seeing one in person but hate that there will be another bod style I will want to purchase.

I am for sure interested in buying one especially now that the Shelby F150 Super Snake is built by Tuscany. Been wanting a new Lightning type hot rod truck and whether its the 5.0 or Eco-Boost the 10spd automatic makes a huge different on performance and MPG if you need that.

I hope its offered in 2-door too as I don't need a 4-door and don't want one.

The one detail on any Saleen Truck and whether I buy one is the design of the front-end as the Black Label nose is why I didn't buy as Saleen has the Camaro nose on the Mustang. I very much like the Challenger nose/grille but the Camaro is **** ugly. I am hoping a clean line Saleen Truck without all the graphics.

I do know Saleen can take a bunch of Shelby buyers for a performance F150 as one SAI is not building them and a $100k F150 is crazy

They are pulling the cover off of what is clearly a truck tomorrow at Barrett Jackson at 11am. Have to assume it is this truck.

Better looking in the real vehicle.

Have to say it left me disappointed as it basically resembles the S331 and this is a completely different F150. Why reuse the same features when it needed to be something new and fresh. The seats are the same design too. I think Saleen could have had a huge boost in returning customers since there is no F150 Lightning and the Shelby Super Snake F150 is actually built by Tuscany and not many fans forking down $100k for a Truck not even built by Shelby. I think a few tweaks and it can be very good

haulin S331 02-09-2018 09:36 AM

Are there any buyers on the NEW S331 yet ?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Firehead 02-09-2018 01:19 PM

Not me. Outta my league. Besides, I didn't see white wheels as an option. ;-)

I'm very happy with the one I have, (out of space) can only drive one at a time.

jcar302 02-10-2018 10:31 AM

Is there really anything to buy?
I haven't even seen a real picture yet, specs, upgrades.
And with Saleen's track record of supporting, xp8's and s331's along with poor delivery times and bad warranty support of recent, i'd say someone would have to be nuts to order one.

haulin S331 03-04-2018 11:11 AM

NO new buyers yet ?

The artist renderings are beautiful, how ever the first Photos of the rolling model that I have seen were a bit under whelming to say the least in my option.
I loved the s331 and the wheels 23s classic in fact, i’ve seen them on 2016-2018 models and they fill up the wheel wells better than what ever wheels they used on the proto type 2018 STX super truck on display.. I love the idea of the new saleen truck I hope the prototype is just that a first rendering and the production get a much deserved attention that a saleen super truck deserves the s331 was victim the 07 economic down turn in my option more than any thing else .. well that and the fake vents on front fender.lol. Love ya Mr.Saleen who still have the most awesome super truck ever!!

I do not disagree with you.

One thing it keep in mind, by the mid-2000s, Saleen Inc had roughly 150 stocking 'Saleen Dealers' throughout the USA. If my memory is correct, each dealer had to stock one or two S331s. I believe this idea was also used for the Saleen Focus N20 & S121. For every X number of S281 Mustangs, a dealer would have to buy a Focus.

When Saleen as a company is humming along, whether the late 1980s or the later 1990s into the 2000s... there were rules and requirements to what a "Saleen Dealer" had to keep in-stock. I believe during the late 1990s the minimum were two Saleen Mustangs to be "in-stock" at all times.

There would also be restrictions on what a dealer / how a dealer could order. I do not recall, but for the 1990-91 Saleen SC, if a dealer wanted an SC for their sales stock, they had to order X number of Mustangs with the standard Saleen package. So hypothetically, a dealer might have to order three Saleen Mustangs to qualify to order an SC. Meaning you would never see a dealer with four SC models out front because it may take 12 additional Saleen Mustang purchases to make that order.

Saleen Inc produced about 400 trucks in model year 2007. If you use my loose example of each dealer ordering two trucks for retail stock... that is 300 units minimum whether there was a market for the S331 or not.

With the current climate, there are no "strong arm" techniques that I am aware of to require dealers to stock product. Making vehicles like the 2018 SporTruck and S302 Black Label a customer ordered / pre-sold unit. Meaning when you see such a vehicle on the road, the owner / driver sought it out.
